The Australian Open "Champion Tour" is designed for the tennis fan and traveler alike. It's an exhilirating 13 day journey that begins with a three day stay in New Zealand's spectacular South Island gem, Queenstown. From there, you'll fly to Melbourne, Australia for six nights of unforgettable Grand Slam tennis action at the Australian Open and then onto Sydney, the city often voted by leading travel magazines as one of the world's top destinations. Throughout the Australian Open Champion Tour, you'll be spoiled with warm hospitality in luxurious accommodations.

    Thursday 22nd: Air Travel Depart L.A.- Air Travel from L.A. to Auckland Our Qantas flight 26 for Auckland will depart at 8:30 p.m. Thursday evening from LAX and arrives into Auckland Saturday at 6:00 a.m. Your flight service includes Dinner and Breakfast. Award winning Qantas entertainment and friendly service will make this flight go much quicker than expected. After clearing customs in Auckland there's an easy 1 hour flight down to Queenstown.
    Saturday 24th: Peppers Beacon (B, D)

    Arrive Queenstown:
    Queenstown has captured hearts and imaginations since the first Maori came in search of pounamu (greenstone) and the giant Moa bird. More recently, gold miners, adventurers, filmmakers, wine enthusiasts, Hollywood stars and US Presidents have been drawn to this magical region and its intense alpine energy.

    Upon Arrival-We'll be met and taken from Queenstown Airport to Peppers at the Beacon Hotel

    6.00 pm - We'll enjoy a twilight lake cruise on the beautiful TSS Earnslaw followed by a visit and dinner at the Walter Peak Farm visit.

    Sunday 25th Peppers Beacon (B)

    Queenstown:
    10.00 am - Group will be picked up from their hotel for a full day Wine/Jet Boat excursion with Appellation Tours to include:
    · Otago gold fields Mining Centre and test your gold panning skills.
    - Exhilarating Jet Boat ride from the Otago Goldfields via Roaring Meg
    · Carrick Winery: Taste a selection of Carrick’s premium wines before lunch in the winery
    · The Big Picture: A unique sensory and visual wine experience. Test your senses in the aroma room followed by a virtual flight over Central Otago and virtual interactive tasting with the winemakers.
    · Peregrine or Chard Farm: tasting finale is at one the premium vineyards in the Gibbston region.

    Monday 26th: Peppers Beacon (B) Queenstown:
    Day at leisure. Tennis play is organized at the Queenstown Tennis Club in Milbrook. A few Grass Courts are available as well. Also included are open vouchers for the Skyline Gondola Ride which you can enjoy at your convenience.
    Tuesday 27th: Air Travel to Melbourne Depart Queenstown for Melbourne:
    After Breakfast the rest of the morning is at your leisure. We'll have a transfer at 8:00am: to Queenstown airport for our 10:20 a.m. flight to Melbourne.
    Tuesday 27th Langham Hotel Melbourne (D) Arrive Melbourne:
    Upon arrival into Melbourne we'll be met and taken to the beautiful Langham Hotel in Southgate. After getting checked in you'll have time to relax before meeting up around 8:30 in the lobby and walk over to Zampelis Cafe Greco, a very popular spot in the Southgate area next to the Casino for a memorable Dinner overlooking the Yarra.
    Wednesday 28th Langham Hotel Melbourne(B) Melbourne:
    Wednesday is a free day for you to to explore Melbournes fabulous fashion arcades, shopping streets and plethora of great restaurants. Don't miss Chapel Street or a visit to St. Kilda and the beach.
    Thursday 29th-Sunday 1st Langham Hotel Melbourne(B)

    Melbourne:
    After breakfast, you're free to stroll over to the tournament at your leisure and enjoy today's Australian Open Women's Semifinals, the beginning of your tennis odessy at Melbourne park where you've got great tickets right through the end of this Grand Slam Event.


    On Sunday the Men's Final session will begin at 4:00 pm with the Men's final to start at 7:30. The first in the Grand Slam era that a Men's final shall be at night. Dress at the Australian Open is very casual. Layers, sun protection, and lots of water are the keys to your comfort.


    For your short commute to the Tennis from the hotel you may consider taking one of the many boat taxis right outside the hotel which take clients to the entrance of Melbourne Park.
    Monday 2nd: Langham Hotel Melbourne (B) Air Travel to Sydney:
    After breakfast you'll be transferred to Melbourne airport for our 12:25 flight to Sydney which arrives at 1:30 p.m.
    Monday 2nd: Observatory Hotel- Sydney (B Sydney:
    Upon arrival we'll be met and taken to the Observatory Hotel in the famous Rocks area of Sydney. The rest of the day is for you to settle into this fabulous city.
    Tuesday 3rd: Observatory Hotel- Sydney (B,L,D) Sydney:
    We visit Taronga Park Zoo to see unique Australian animals including kangaroo, koala, platypus, wombat and echidna. After lunch at the famous Doyles Seafood Restaurant, we tour this stunning city with a of the famous Sydney Opera House and Harbor Bridge before returning to the Hotel. .
    Wednesday 4th Observatory Hotel- Sydney (B,D) Sydney:
    A free day to explore Sydney and its environs as you please. Options include an adventurous climb on the famous Harbour Bridge; a scenic flight by floatplane or helicopter; or an excursion to the Blue Mountains to the west of the city. Tonight we meet unforgettable farewell dinner cruise.
    Thursday 5th Observatory Hotel- Sydney (B) Air Travel Sydney to L.A.
    We have time this morning for last minute shopping before boarding our coach to Sydney International Airport for our flight back across the Pacific Ocean to Los Angeles.
